The purpose of this page is to give Mr.B's band members an online resource to help build their counting skills.

For those students having trouble with the Counting Unit that we are currently doing in band, please check out the links above. Eventually, there will be three "web lessons" for every rhythm that we are learning how to count.

Suggestion: Download the worksheet first. The worksheets are preceded by a number... 1) Basic Rhythms, 2) Eighth Notes, 3) Dotted Quarter, etc.

Then following along with the web lesson within the category that you need help with. For example, if you're not good at Eighth note counting - listen to Web Lesson 1. If you still need help, try Lesson 2 & 3. In most cases, you probably won't need any more than Lesson 1... but it's there to help.

 

Finally - complete the entire worksheet on your own - THEN CHECK YOUR ANSWERS!
